7.4.09 Boushh takes over

The 501st is so full of super awesome people, I'm so glad to be back in AL and hanging out with these guys (and gals) again. Today I headed over to troop an event in the morning for the 4th of July, and then we were maybe going to troop the same event later tonight, before the fireworks display. The morning was so much fun, but after lunch and chilling in the afternoon, we decided to avoid the heat and traffic and parking issues (especially considering stormtroopers get very angry if they can't find close parking spots ) and skip the evening troop. But we still thought it'd be fun to get dressed up, and the other guys wanted to get some photos of their Sand Trooper unit "red rain" near this red dirt wall...

Point of all this being: Classic white Leia, she was just too boring for said red wall, but I thought it'd be fun to get Leia out and about for the photoshoot anyway, so one of the 501st members was super super kind enough to let me borrow her "Leia disguised as Boushh" armor Before today, I thought if I ever invested in some armor, I would go for this costume... Of course after today, not so much sure on that one Me and masks just don't get along, I enjoy my peripheral vision way too much... So I still probably won't do armor any time soon... but this one is still what I'd choose, it looks so awesome! Plus it's a little bit feminine, none of the other bad-guy-armor is really for chicks. Still, I pose way to girly for this one, that's for sure I reviewed several of my standing poses, and immediately went to reshoot some with me kneeling, hoping that would get rid of the girly stature (of course for the reshoots my face is all red because I'd put the helmet on and gotten my face all hot and sweaty, but whatever...)
And even though I was busy wearing this, I was still able to get some great shots of the sandtroopers, hopefully I'll get to editing those soon!
